Posted in Music News with tags on November 23, 2008 by divinemetaldistro

Ohio based POST MORTUM have posted on their myspace page updated information in regards to the December reissue of their album, “Road Ahead”.

Well as some or most of you know we have a re-release of our latest cd projected to be out in late December. So we headed into Immortal Productions studio to our great friend Ben and laid down some narley tracks.

Some of you might be thinking that there’s no big deal b/c its just the same cd,…..but you couldnt be more wrong! We have redone the cd and made some cereal changes! We started off by bringing in a suprise guest to do some vocal tracks, and 6 and a half hrs later and a couple polar pops after that we finished all the fun on the vocal section haha, and yes it was ton’s-o-fun…i dunnno if we’re capeable of a cereal moment in the studio haha

After that i spent about 1 and a half hrs standing on a foo-ton redoing and revamping some songs and bass lines. Why the foo-ton you ask, well i’ll tell you why…….um there wasnt a real good reason it was just fun and we didnt have a buzzing sound when i was there so yeah take that! Afterwards i raced home to go to a wedding (which was very nice) the next day.

The second day consisted of more vocal ajustments for a couple hrs and me racing back to get to the studio after the wedding. And great grand and wonderful i locked my keys in the dang car so brysson and dru came with a coat hanger and we went to work from there haha, Anywho we get back to the studio and throw down some sweet and innocent violin parts. And a after a m’ donalds run and polar pop later we we’re finished with the violin. We just made some other durastic changes to a song and made the order of the new cd. It twas all fun and great grand and glorious!!!!!

We have a great new sound that hasnt even been heard at our live shows. I dont care how many times you’ve heard these songs, you havnt heard them like the cd has em now…..ok maybe a couple b/c we didnt wanna mess with em but 90% of the cd has been redone in one shape or form!!! We will be starting pre-orders soon so….GET PUMPED!!!!!!

IN VAIN Issues New Album Update

Posted in Music News with tags , , on November 21, 2008 by divinemetaldistro

Norwegian extreme metallers IN VAIN have issued the following update:

“I travelled home in October/November and spent approxmately 10 days in the studio [working on the upcoming sophomore IN VAIN album]. We got quite a lot of work done, but the mix is not done yet. Hopefully we’ll do the final mix of the album in December.

“The plans have also changed a bit. Most certainly the CD will only consist of seven songs, that is seven of our own new songs. So one song plus the cover will be left out. We’ll post the complete tracklist when it’s decided.

“The tentative release is set to be February 2009.

“For those who liked ‘The Latter Rain’, I’m pretty sure you will enjoy this one as well. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.”

IN VAIN released its full-length debut, “The Latter Rain”, last year via Indie Recordings. The CD was recorded at DUB Studio (GREEN CARNATION, BLOOD RED THRONE, CHAIN COLLECTOR) in the summer/fall of 2006 and involved close to 20 guest musicians and several guest vocalists, such as Jan K. Transeth (IN THE WOODS…) and Kjetil Nordhus (GREEN CARNATION, TRAIL OF TEARS).
